I remember watching all these Disney cartoons and thinking how scrumptious the various foods would look and taste. Peas, slices of ham, big ol' slabs of meat on a bone, mangos that seemed to be oh-so-rubbery good, etc. Then I got a rude awakening indeed, when I raided the pantry and sunk my teeth into a raw carrot.
